The Fuel Regulator

I used a 5.0 CFI injection regulator They use an adjustable fuel pressure regulator that fits the 2.3.

They don't look like they are adjustable at a glance. If you look at the top of the fpr, there is a plug in the middle made of thin sheet metal.

Take a small sheet metal screw and screw it into that plug and then pull the thing out.

Inside there is a allen screw-that is how you adjust the pressure, you can’t see the screw in the pictures but it is inside that hole in the top.

The CFI regulator does not however have a vacuum/boost port on it.

I drilled a hole in the side and taped it for a brass nipple thingy I had laying around. You can just see it in  pics-Mine is facing the back of the engine

I tried blowing through it and some air leaked out the adjustment screw-which has a hole in the center to vent to the atmosphere. So I plugged that with some JB weld. I now have a working adjustable fuel pressure regulator for like maybe $5.00 and it only took about a half hour to modify.

It is adjustable from zero psi all the way up past 60psi (didn’t try to go higher).
