Drag racing
I finally took it racing; I had many problems with it
that day though. It had no power in third compared to how it usually is. Third
gear is usually my “secret weapon” because in third I can pull from a little over
60 mph all the way to about 110mph in a matter of seconds (usually). But that day it was the gear I dreaded going
into, it had nothing there, it felt like a naturally aspirated 2.3 to me!
I am car #115.
Notice my 60 foot on that 15.0 run! It wouldn’t be
unheard of for a street car to be a second faster than that 60
foot! I need to do something about that open 3.08 rear end! The car in the
right lane was an early 90s Z28 with an aftermarket cowl induction fiberglass
hood and I know it had multiport injection-no idea what mods.. I wonder what he
thought as I passed him just before the 330 foot mark with a 4 banger Mustang
LX! That was fun!

I had some traction problems….
